From St. John the Baptist Mission Chapel to Alabel Municipal Gym
ENROLMENT TO THE MILITIA IMMACULATAE
Holy Mass at 9:00am, followed by Mary's Mission: Recollection for women in Kawas attended by (number) women. After the Recollection, (number) women were enrolled in the Militia Immaculatae.
8 KM WALK FROM BARANGAY KAWAS TO POBLACION ALABEL
At 3:00pm, the people gathered for
the procession of the Pilgrim Virgin from St. John the Baptist
Chapel in Angie Village, Kawas to Alabel Municipal Gym passing
by San Isidro Labrador Parish Church. They walked 8 kilometers.
WELCOME
As the Pilgrim Virgin entered the Poblacion of Alabel, She was
welcomed by an invitation to proceed to the parish church of San
Isidro Labrador were Marian devotees were awaiting the Pilgrim
Virgin with the permission of the parish priest. Fr. Timothy
Pfeiffer preached about the devotion to Mary to the gathered
crowd. After the brief sermon, the crowd of eager devotees, men
and women alike, accompanied the Pilgrim Virgin as she processed
towards the municipal gymnasium where the municipal mayor and
his staff had been waiting for around 40 minutes to respectfully
welcome the Blessed Virgin Mary.
CONSECRATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY BY THE MAYOR
There were over 200 people in the crowd singing "O Maria Reyna
sa Pilipinas" and "Adlaw Adlaw Kay Maria" as the municipal mayor
came up and offered to carry the Pilgrim Virgin's processional
float on his shoulders. When Our Lady was translated to the
portable flower-decorated grotto, the municipal mayor knelt
before Her beside Fr. Timothy Pfeiffer and prayed aloud the
Consecration of the Municipality of Alabel to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary, as his constituents fervently offered their
humble prayers of gratitude for the great honor of being visited
by the Pilgrim Virgin.
CONFESSIONS
After the consecration prayer, the people came near to the Pilgrim Virgin to greet her and to whisper sincere prayers to her motherly Heart. People came and went until late in the night, to ask for the brown scapular and to go to Confession. It was an impressive sight to behold one priest ministering to hundreds of residents seeking the patronage of Our Lady of Fatima until half the night was gone.
