November 11: Day Fifteen
Sarangani Province to Davao del Sur

From the Poblacion of Malungon, Srangani Province to Barangay Tagansule in the municipality of Malalag, Davao del Sur Province

Six confessions heard before Holy Mass.

Sixty persons attended the Holy Mass:  22 pilgrim walkers, 38 local parishioners (14 children and 24 adults).

After Holy Mass, eight more pilgrims arrived, thus making up 30 walkers for the day.

At 9:23AM, we donned our walkers' uniforms and at 9:55am, left St. Joseph Parish church.

The kindly parish priest sent us off with food packs.  May God and His Blessed Mother bless him and his parish a thousandfold.

At 10:52am, we had to stop in Malalag Cogon because the cart of the Pilgrim Virgin broke and we had to make a quick repair.  Then we resumed walking.

At 11:40am, we stopped again because Fr. Tim had to minister to a sick person that we passed by.  Fifteen were enrolled in the Brown Scapular.

We had lunch at Talus Highway.  Our pack for the day consisted of rice noodles and plain rice. Energy!  This is what makes us walk on and on...

At 1:15pm, we resumed walking.  Three more pilgrims bringing additional catechism tracts joined us.  Thirty three walkers and catechists now.

We changed into our special uniforms as we approached the the barangay hall of Banate, Malungon, Sarangani Province.  We arrived there at 2:22pm.

One hundred and fifty or maybe one hundred and eighty people welcomed the Pilgrim Virgin.  Everyone knelt and prayed the prayer of Fatima.  The boys were asked by Fr. Tim to remove their earrings.

Then Father taught the basic catechism to the crowd.  These were mostly high school students who were busy preparing their props for a street dancing program.  Their teacher adviser had announced a break from their activity to accommodate the special visit of the Pilgrim Virgin so they were able to welcome the Blessed Virgin Mary.

At 3:18pm, the pilgrimage resumed but Fr. Tim and the catechists stayed behind to continue the catechism work.

At 3:40pm, we made another stop to fix the pull lever of the cart of the Pilgrim Virgin. It took only a minute to fix so we continued to walk.

At 4:43pm, we stopped to drink water and refresh.  We had a three minute rest.

At 4:46pm, we got up to walk again.  Three minutes later, the rain fell down. Three pilgrims took off their shoes and socks and walked barefoot.

At 5:22pm, in Malungon Gamay, a passerby came up to pray and drop a donation in the donation box at the foot of the Pilgrim Virgin.

At 5:26pm, we stopped to install emergency lights.

At 5:40pm, the catechists from Banate were able to catch up on us.  A Eucharistic Crusader reported that Fr. Tim gave miraculous Medals to 98 persons and enrolled 118 persons to the Brown Scapular there in Banate.

At 6:47pm, two persons fervently made the Sign of the Cross and whispered some prayers as the Pilgrim Virgin passed them by.

At 7:00pm, we stopped in Barangay Tagansule in Malalag, Davao del Sur.  Eighteen people led by the Barangay Captain and a barangay Kagawad welcomed the Pilgrim Virgin.

At 7:25pm, Fr. Tim arrived (from Banate) and gave a conference about the Blessed Virgin Mary to 27 residents (23 adults and 4 children).  The conference ended at 8:45pm.  Four persons went to Confession.

Some pilgrims left us to attend to their families' needs; hence, reducing our count to 28.

At 9:37pm, 22 residents visited the Pilgrim Virgin and offered prayers.  Meanwhile, Fr. Tim had some discussions with a barangay councilor.  Another barangay councilor offered water for the pilgrims' washing needs.   We covered around 30 kilometers today.  Blessed be God and Mary, His Mother.
