TAGANSULE, MALALAG, DAVAO DEL SUR
5:40am, fifty seven people attended the Holy Mass today; 41
local residents and 16 pilgrims. The Mass ended at 6:42am and
Fr. Tim immediately preached about the seven Sacraments. 30
residents listened to the preaching. At 7:25am, 3 persons came
up to the Pilgrim Virgin to offer their prayer intentions and
their donations. At 7:30am, 36 residents were enrolled in the
Brown Scapular. At 8:10am, Fr. Tim taught 4 adults about the
holy Rosary. Then he enrolled these 4 adults and a child to
the Brown scapular.
At 8:50am, 30 pilgrims started the day's walk. We were made
richer by a sack of bananas donated by a relative of our
pilgrimage grub master (Ate Sarbing Paglinawan). We had a brief
rest at 9:40am and resumed walking at 9:45am
SAN ROQUE MISSION
At 9:53am, we stopped at the church dedicated to Sr. San Roque to teach catechism briefly. 40 persons (34 youths, 4 adults and 2 nuns) welcomed the Blessed Virgin Mary. 39 of them were later enrolled in the Brown Scapular. Actually, when we arrived there, we had to wait a short while in front of the church because there was a wedding but it was about to finish. Fr. Tim congratulated the couple. Then the Blessed Virgin Mary processed regally into the church on the red carpet escorted by by the 34 students and 4 adults.
HOLY CROSS SCHOOL MISSION (at the back of San Roque Church)
At 11:21am, Fr. Tim started a conference in the Holy Cross School of Sulop were 156 persons listened and enrolled Brown Scapular after the conference. Some of them gave donation and prayer intentions.
At 12:01pm, the conference and enrollment of Brown Scapular ended. At 12:17pm, the people served food donated by the ADF Foundation: grilled chicken, iced tea and biscuits. Adding our own all-important bowl of rice and sardines to the table, we had a wonderful feast. Deo gratias!
JOURNEY RESUMED
At 1:33pm, 36 pilgrims started to walk, there are some bystanders and passersby who light candles and made a sign of the cross along the way that made us stronger and alive to carry the cart under the very strong and hot sun light. At 4:30pm, we stopped to rest and drink some water (10 min), two persons came to us and they prayed and gave donation and intention prayers. One of the pilgrims said "it is very heart touching to see people making sign of the Cross and pray when we pass them" another one said "I do not mind my back pain and foot blisters every time I see people making sign of the Cross and praying for a while".
WELCOME IN SAN JOSE, DIGOS CITY
At 4:47 pm we reached San Jose Barangay Hall, Digos City. 20 persons (7 brgy. officials and 13 people) welcomed the Blessed Virgin Mary, 7 were enrolled in the Brown scapular, afterwards they prepared and offered flowers for the Blessed Virgin Mary.
At 7:00pm we ate our dinner in the Brgy Hall with our most beloved rice and sardines in the bowl, the barangay officials donated loaves of bread and bottles water for us.
