Manila, Philippines After a year of preparation,18 Children
of the Parish were able to receive their First Holy Communion.

- 23 Bohol, Philippines Annual Training
Session of the Youth group ‘Apostles of Mary’.

Hong Kong The
District Superior gave a conference on the Holy Shroud, with a
life-size replica of the relic. The talk was attended, among others,
by. Pr. William Meacham, archeologist, of Hong Kong University,
a world-renowned expert on the Holy Shroud. At the end of the
conference, Fr. François Laisney, prior of Wanganui, New Zealand,
arrived, being on a stop-over, between two planes.

– 27 Bohol, Philippines 6th Annual National Pilgrimage from
Tagbilaran to Carmen, with a record participation of 350 pilgrims,
including 6 priests, the whole community of Brothers from Manila
and Iloilo, as well as the Oblates and Bethanians.

India Miss Swarna Vongala, the foundress of the Society of
Servi Domini for the Orphans and Old People, finally flew off
to Italy to receive her much awaited religious formation. Please
God, she will returned in July 2008, as a Sister, accompanied
by one or two other sisters of the Institute of the Consoling
Sisters of the Sacred Heart. Meanwhile a group of 4 ladies, assisted
by extra temporary volunteers from France and USA, run the orphanage
and the little school attached to it. More volunteers are needed.

Manila, Philippines Feast of St. Anthony, The annual distribution
of St. Anthony’s Bread for the poor continued. More than 2000
pieces of bread were distributed to the poor. The volunteers were
able to give bread to the people of Payatas, a very poor place,
where people live through scavenging garbage. Start of Classes
for Our Lady of Victories Catholic School. Nine children enrolled
in the preparatory level and nine also were enrolled in the home
schooling program.

Sri Lanka Annual Solemn Procession of Corpus Christi. The
highlight this year was the presence of about 60 people from the
Tsunami Village “Maria Sevana’, who, for most of them, were also
attending their first traditional Latin Mass.
Wanganui,
New Zealand Solemn Procession in honour of St Anthony (patron
of the priory). At the end, the faithful honored Fr. Laisney with
a beautiful 19th c. silver chalice on the occasion of his 25th
anniversary of ordination.

Singapore/India Fr. Emerson Salvador flew to India to spend
a few months in order to help the mission until the new prior
arrives.

Italy/India After a very brief postulancy due to exceptional
circumstances, Miss Swarna Vongala received the religious habit
and a new name. She is now called Sr. Maria Immaculata della Croce
(Sr. Mary Immaculate of the Cross), a name which is a whole program!
The children at the Orphanage refuse to go to school on this day
in order to unite themselves with their spiritual mother.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Conference by the District Superior
to mark the Centenary of the Apostolate of the Enthronement of
the Sacred Heart in the Homes, an apostolate launched by Fr. Mateo
Crawley, on August 24, 1907.

Singapore Ignatian retreat for 11 ladies in nearby Batam.
Fr. Roy Dolotina came from Manila to assist Fr. Couture while
Fr. Kimball is taking a well-deserved vacation.

Singapore Third visit of Fr. Gregory Post (who seems to like
Asia), for a couple of weeks.

Singapore Conference of Fr. Gregory Post on the early days
of the SSPX. Fr. Post is the most senior SSPX priest ordained
by Archbishop Lefebvre. In August, he will celebrate his 35th
anniversary of ordination (Aug. 28, 1972)

Singapore Fr. Kimball returned from his well-deserved vacation.

Singapore Conference of Dr. Jean Pierre Dickes on his year
in the famous French seminary of Issy-les-Moulineaux in 1965-1966,
where he lived the whole revolution in the Church at high speed.
Dr. Dickes was on his way to a one week Medical Mission in General
Santos, in the Philippines.

Singapore Dr. Dickes, a lady pharmacist and Fr. Couture flew
out to the Philippines for the largest ever Medical Mission organized
by the SSPX, in General Santos, Mindanao. The Mission is to last
7 days.
